A good start to November.

More Reasons to Praise God:
We have agreed who our training curate will be next July. The group that met Belinda were all agreed that Yateley will be a good setting for her to begin her ordained ministry. We look forward to welcoming her. No doubt July will come round quickly.

Paul, I am so delighted to hear that Mark is able to go home at last! Praise God. This will be a strange and tiring time as he and the family learn to readjust to living together again and my prayers will be with them. Also with you,your parents and all your family.

Paul, It is such a privilege to join you in Praising the Lord for this milestone on the road to Mark's recovery. We will continue to pray for the whole family as they readjust to changes in family life and for Mark's progress in healing.

As you may know, discussions are taking place regarding the effective amalgamation of Yateley Infants and St Peter's Junior schools to form a through primary school.

One of the key issues to be decided is what (if any) formal part the Church would play in the new school.

Please pray:
1. For God's sovereign control over the whole process
2. For wisdom for all those in authority who must make decisions about the proposal
3. For all the governors of both schools
4. For the staff of both schools in this time of uncertainty and as the work hard to ensure that the children are not affected by the uncertainty
5. For the children of both schools that they will be un-affected
6. For what comments God might be calling you to make regarding the proposals -you can leave comments at:

Just a little update from Mike and Lisa Kennedy
Firstly, I would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone at St. Peters who has supported us over the last 14 months practically, emotionally and by regularly praying for us, words can’t express how grateful we are. I kept on meaning to provide prayer updates on this blog, however, the intensity of the treatment and having Robbie and Lisa to keep me occupied meant I never actually got round to it. Thank you for your prayers in spite of my shortcomings! Lisa and I know that it was Jesus who carried us through the last year as time and time again things happened which were more than coincidence, a big one being the timing of how my operations fitted with the arrival of Robbie and everything we had going on with him, also the fact that I had only been temporary in my job for 6 months & 1 week, sick pay kicked in at 6 months, it wasn’t a lot but it was better than nothing!
I have now been given the all clear and have returned to work, the company who I was temporary for when I went off sick said they would hold the position open for me, even though they were under no obligation to do so, and 14 months later they were true to their word, in fact they have now made me permanent.
Lisa and I are gradually picking up the pieces of our lives, adjusting to our new situations and looking to what the future holds.
In light of this, we are having a Thanksgiving Service on Saturday 9th February at 1.30pm at St. Peters church to give thanks for our son Robbie, who is such a blessing, and also to give thanks that God has brought us through such a difficult year.
Everyone is invited; however, it would be helpful for us to have rough numbers. If you are thinking of coming [edited] please contact our church office - contact details on our main church website.
We would really appreciate prayer for this service, as we are in the process of inviting a lot of friends from around the country both Christian and non-Christian who have supported us over the last year and really want the service to be a witness to how great God is!

Brian has had a stroke and is in Frimley Park Hospital. Please pray for him and Margaret.

Latest news: Brian is very much better, speaking and comprehending normally. He should be able to go home within the next few days. So prayers are definitely being answered.
