Those who are looking towards finishing next Easter (after licensing in October)are excited about the opportunities for more "one another" time across the church family, and look forward to being released by God into more creative relationships.

My prayer is that the excitement I feel inside me about what God is doing with me, can be 'caught' by being visible to others through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I never thought I would offer to pray with a family of complete strangers, and yet this month with God's help, I have, and it was welcomed... and I pray that I will continue to do this and so much more as I start to support our ministry with young families seeking baptism for a child.

In response to:Unity Rope

Pls pray as another week passes and still no word on my sons application for police. I hope that you found the guys a blessing to you and the local community. I know that they have been truly blessed by your fellowship. Please continue to pray for God's protection over them as they travel around the country and please remember the people of 'T' as the price of bread has quadrupled, bringing many more families to below the poverty line, in a place with no social security system or minimum wage. We will continue to pray for you as you look ahead to how God will use you to do a new thing in His church and community...how exciting!!

In response to:July Prayers

I don't want to get attacked.

In response to:June Prayers

Please pray for Tina and her husband Stephen, he has been recently diagnosed with leukaemia.
Dear praying friends

Thank you so much for the many messages of support, which we have received. They are very much appreciated and have helped to encourage the whole family.

I had a 40 minute thorough consultation with Dr Shott. He is almost certain that I have cervical dystonia. I had a blood test and will require further tests to rule out another possibility. This includes a 2 minute eye test! He is referring me to Professor Bhatia's clinic as that is where they administer the most common treatment for dystonia - Botox!! Whilst many of you associate this with cosmetic treatment, it is often used for medical purposes to treat overactive muscle conditions. They inject Botox into the muscles that are in spasm. This causes the muscles to become underactive and this should enable my head to return to a central position. The injections are perfomed about every 12 weeks. We have been informed that there is around a 4 week wait to see Professor Bhatia.

Please would you join me in praying for a speedy appointment and do please let me know how I can be praying for you.

With my love in the Lord Jesus

Warner.
Firstly, I would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone at St. Peters who has supported us over the last 14 months practically, emotionally and by regularly praying for us, words can’t express how grateful we are. I kept on meaning to provide prayer updates on this blog, however, the intensity of the treatment and having Robbie and Lisa to keep me occupied meant I never actually got round to it. Thank you for your prayers in spite of my shortcomings! Lisa and I know that it was Jesus who carried us through the last year as time and time again things happened which were more than coincidence, a big one being the timing of how my operations fitted with the arrival of Robbie and everything we had going on with him, also the fact that I had only been temporary in my job for 6 months & 1 week, sick pay kicked in at 6 months, it wasn’t a lot but it was better than nothing!
I have now been given the all clear and have returned to work, the company who I was temporary for when I went off sick said they would hold the position open for me, even though they were under no obligation to do so, and 14 months later they were true to their word, in fact they have now made me permanent.
Lisa and I are gradually picking up the pieces of our lives, adjusting to our new situations and looking to what the future holds.
In light of this, we are having a Thanksgiving Service on Saturday 9th February at 1.30pm at St. Peters church to give thanks for our son Robbie, who is such a blessing, and also to give thanks that God has brought us through such a difficult year.
Everyone is invited; however, it would be helpful for us to have rough numbers. If you are thinking of coming [edited] please contact our church office - contact details on our main church website.
We would really appreciate prayer for this service, as we are in the process of inviting a lot of friends from around the country both Christian and non-Christian who have supported us over the last year and really want the service to be a witness to how great God is!
Thank You Mike and Lisa Kennedy

One of the key issues to be decided is what (if any) formal part the Church would play in the new school.

Please pray:
1. For God's sovereign control over the whole process
Praise God. This will be a strange and tiring time as he and the family learn to readjust to living together again and my prayers will be with them. Also with you, your parents and all your family.

In response to:A good start to November.

More Reasons to Praise God:
We have agreed who our training curate will be next July. The group that met Belinda were all agreed that Yateley will be a good setting for her to begin her ordained ministry. We look forward to welcoming her. No doubt July will come round quickly.

In response to:October Prayers

Thank God:
Mark now seems to be clear of all infection
His surgical wounds are shrinking / healing well now.
The medics are making plans to move Mark to a specialist physio unit to get his strength up sufficiently to go home (at last)
Mark continues to be well supported and stimulated by visitors from church, work, family and friends, sometimes from a fair distance.
Please pray
- For the rumoured opening in the physio unit to be free this week, as hoped.
- For Mark's wounds to speedily reach their final healing-over.
- For Lucy and the children as they continue to adapt to coping without Mark at home, and also as they prepare to welcome him back
- For Mark's bright mood to carry him through the painful and wearying moments of his pain and his treatment.

An Aside:
Thanks to all who bounce into this site regularly to continue to pray for Mark.

In response to:October Prayers

Rev Paul,

Thank-you for letting us know how your brother and his family are doing.
His initial improvement from exercise should be good.
I pray for protection on the healing so far for Mark and that the ongoing process of strengthening him will be blessed by our God.
I pray also that the Lord will strengthen Marks family for his eventual homecoming and that his wounds will not only be healed on the outside ,but in his heart, on the inside as well.

In Gods timing.

AMEN
Mark's getting getting to the gymn as often as possible, and beginning to gain enough strength walk (with the aid of "parallel bars")

Please pray for sufficient staffing amongst the physios to be able to make more regular visits to the gym.

Please also pray for the final stages of the surgical wounds to be healed over.
Once Mark is mobile and his wounds sufficiently healed, he'll be able to get home. In the meantime

Please pray for Lucy and the children as they prepare to welcome Mark home after 4 months absence from home life.

Thank God for the friends and members of Gyfriars who regularly visit Mark and thank God for the recent visit from Mark's boss who is patiently but eagerly awating Mark's return to work.

In response to:August Prayers

Continued prayers for my friend Agnes.
